Featured here is the real wedding story of Leonie & Matt Richardson
Matt and Leonie met and fell in love on the 19th day of October 2013. They got engaged on 19th day of March 2014 and were married on the 19th day of February 2016.
They wanted something non traditional for their wedding and so they had a 1950s rockabilly red, black and white theme.
Check out the gorgeous photos which highlight this exciting retro theme.
The wedding was held at Bassmead Manor Barns. This venue was perfect for their needs and offered them a top class service. The bride’s wedding dress was a stunning fifties rockabilly style lace embellished gown which came to just below the knee. The full skirt gave a saucy glimpse of the red underskirt. A perfect complement for the pretty red retro bridal shoes.
The groom was dressed in black with red rockabilly style braces and canvas pumps which the rest of the grooms party also wore. A red tie completes the look.
Leonie’s flower bouquet was a brooch bouquet with white foam roses. It is absolutely stunning.
The reception was a real retro affair with vinyl records as table settings, red and black spotted cupcakes for the wedding cake, and a retro post box on the gift table for cards. The red and black color theme was weaved throughout.
Leonie and Matt give a big thanks to their wedding party: Kelsey, Kelly, Sam, Nina, kirk, Terrell, Daley, Geoff, Keiran and Sophie.
It is traditional to give each other wedding gifts (bride and groom) and so Leonie gave Matt a custom BMX bike made in the wedding colours.
This concludes our real 1950’s, rockabilly wedding feature for Leonie and Matt. A Big Congratulations to the happy couple, may their future be bright, prosperous and healthy!
